Kendra Merritt, author of the MARK OF THE LEAST series (YA fantasy) is pleased as punch to announce the release of the first book in her new adult fantasy series: MISHAP’S HEROES. Book #1, MAGIC AND MISRULE, released April 2nd from Blue Fyre Press.
ABOUT THE BOOK:
They’re only badass by accident…
Vola might be new to this whole adventuring thing, but she’s pretty sure this isn’t how you’re supposed to save the day. No one at her academy wanted an orc as a paladin, so they’ve sent her to the back end of a swamp, hoping she’ll never find a quest good enough to earn her shield. Well, screw that. Vola’s got divine help, and even a laughingstock of a goddess can do some righteous smiting.
Armed with a new mission to find some missing orphans, Vola just needs a team to help her track them down. Now she’s stuck with a hyperactive halfling, a klutzy spell caster, and a cloaked mystery who’s a little too good with their knives. Can a half-orc paladin keep her new party alive in a swamp that’s determined to eat them, or are all the naysayers right and Orcs really can’t be heroes? Copies may be purchased through Amazon.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Books have been Kendra’s escape for as long as she can remember. She used to hide fantasy novels behind her government textbook in high school, and she wrote most of her first novel during a semester of college algebra.
Older and wiser now (but just as nerdy) she’s the author of the Mark of the Least series and the Mishap’s Heroes series. If she’s not writing, she’s reading, and if she’s not reading, she’s playing video games.
She lives in Denver with her very tall husband, their book loving progeny, and a lazy black monster masquerading as a service dog. KM Merritt is the pen name for her adult fantasy. Be sure to visit the author on her website and follow her on Facebook and Instagram.
Sweet Success is coordinated by Darby Karchut who is an award-winning author, dreamer, and compulsive dawn greeter. A proud native of New Mexico, she now lives in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, where she runs in blizzards and bikes in lightning storms. When not dodging death by Colorado, Darby is busy wrangling words. Her latest book (lucky number thirteen), DEL TORO MOON, released October 2018 from Owl Hollow Press. Visit the author at her website.
