Red Ink: Essential Self-Editing Strategies to Use Before You Submit or Publish
Half-Day Workshop, presented by Anita Mumm
Location: East Library Annex
In an agent’s eyes, what sets a polished manuscript apart from a work in progress? And what makes the most successful indie novels stand out from the crowd? This workshop will focus on practical tips to ensure you are putting your best work forward—whether you are submitting to agents or preparing to self-publish. You’ll learn how to step back and recognize issues in your own writing or that of critique partner, with specific techniques to address the most common pitfalls. Participants are encouraged to bring the first five pages of their manuscript to workshop during the class. Please bring TWO copies.
