October Write Brain: The Road to WriMo w/ Mike Jack Stoumbos

Oct 19, 2021 — 6:15 PM to 8:15 PM

Location: Online via Zoom (get directions)

November is National Novel Writing Month, a time when writers from everywhere bring their common goals to forums, public word trackers, and many dreaded sprints. Whether you’re a ten-time NaNo veteran or a wide-eyed first-timer, this workshop can help you set up the approach to NaNo that is best for YOU and your long-term goals. I encourage you to arrive ready to introduce yourself, make connections, express what you’re looking for–and then get excited about your next month’s plan.

Mike Jack Stoumbos

Mike Jack Stoumbos is an emerging fiction author, disguised as a believably normal schoolteacher, living in Seattle with his wife and their parrot. He recently took 1st place in the 2021 Writers of the Future Contest, and his stories have appeared in several Scifi and Fantasy anthologies, including GALACTIC STEW, HOLD YOUR FIRE, and the newly released STREET MAGIC. In addition to writing fiction, Mike Jack has published academic/informational articles, stageplays, and lovably geeky parody lyrics. Find him online at MikeJackStoumbos.com or @MJStoumbos on Twitter, as well as on karaoke stages in the Seattle area.
