Pikes Peak Writers received this year's Pikes Peak Arts Council Outstanding Progamming Award. The award, sponsored by the Colorado Springs Credit Union was presented April 16, by the Pikes Peak Arts Council at the annual Pikes Peak Arts Council Arts Business and Education (PPAC/ABE) luncheon. Here is what PPAC President Eve Tilley had to say about Pikes Peak Writers.
"Outstanding Programming SPONSORED BY THE COLORADO SPRINGS CREDIT UNION - Pikes Peak Writers. Founded in 1992 by writer Jimmy Butler, Pikes Peak Writers is a regional group with over 400 members that guides writers in learning their craft and then selling their work--something we all aspire to as artists! Their conference, in its sixteenth year and hailed by Writers Digest as one of the top ten in the nation, is coming up on the 25th and will be featuring graphic novels this year!--and it's not too late to get a seat. (Dare I say it?) Write on!"
