The Pikes Peak Writers Conference is a three-day, jam-packed expedition into the world of commercial fiction writing.  Past featured speakers include:  

  • Jim Butcher, who is the author of the Dresden Files, the best-selling urban fantasy book series featuring Chicago wizard Harry Dresden, coming to the SciFi channel in January.
  • Robert Crais, a returning favorite, who is the author of the best-selling Elvis Cole novels, and who is not only a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, but whose book Hostage was named by Amazon editors as the #1 thriller of the year.
  • Dr. Eric Maisel, who is widely considered to be America's foremost creativity coach with more than thirty works of nonfiction and fiction include many classics for the creative person.
  • Mary Jo Putney, who has made all of the national bestseller lists including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Publishers Weekly, and who is a nine-time RITA finalist and three time winner.

The conference provides opportunites to meet agents and editors, along with a multitude of authors including new faces, Front Range favorites, and returning favorites.
