Q: What about browsers? Which ones are supported on your website?

A: PikesPeakWriters.com is optimized for standards-compliant web browsers such as Firefox, Safari (for Apple) and Opera. For Microsoft Internet Explorer users, all components are fully functional in MS Internet Explorer 7 and later.  For best appearance, we recommend that you use the "Compatibility View" for Microsoft IE 8.

Note: Pikes Peak Writers does not endorse or recommend any specific software or hardware products. We do feel that it is important to let our users know about any "quirks" we find with specific systems.

Using the Anti-Spam Trap on Forms

E-mail Print PDF

We use a visual image capture to ensure that real people and not spam or information gathering programs use our on-line form. You'll see an image that looks like this:

Antispam image

In this example, you would enter wdcqm (or WDCQM) in the box.

How can I print pages?

E-mail Print PDF

Q: How can I print pages from your website?  There is always a bunch of stuff that prints which doesn't relate to what I'm trying to print.

A:  If you want to print a specific article, follow these three steps:

1)  Click on the article title.

2) At the top right side of the article there are three small icons, the first will allow you to create a PDF file of the article, the second will display the article on a printer friendly page, and the third will allow you to email the article to someone.  As you mouse over these icons, a tool tip will be displayed telling what the icon does.

3) Click on the middle (print) icon and a printer friendly version will be displayed in a pop-up window.  Click the print icon in the top right of that window and the page will be sent to your printer.

If you want to print an entire page, you will get two pages of menu and title text from the page before the article content begins to print on the third page.

(when you print or save these articles as PDF files, please remember that content is copyright Pikes Peak Writers and the article author)

Trouble with Our Forms?

E-mail Print PDF

When you fill out a form on our website, you'll see something called image verification just above the submit button.  This is a graphic display that has some letters and numbers.  To submit the form, you just need to type the BOLD letter/number combination into the supplied box.  The letters are CASE SENSITIVE, in other words the letter "R" is NOT the same as the letter "r".  Please type the letters and numbers as they are displayed.

In order to use image verification, you must have javascript and cookies enabled in your browser.

If you are still having problems, please contact webeditor @ pikespeakwriters.com and type "Forms Problem" in the subject line.
